What Others Say About Homeschool Super Heroes
Even after ten years of homeschooling I still love to listen to amazing ideas from other homeschoolers. I learn so much from the super heroes. I loved what Kerry said yesterday about remembering to have fun. Thanks Kerry!! Simple reminders like this make a huge difference.
Kelly
I was inspired by Kerry to get back to using IEW and enjoyed listening to her perspective on education. Terri Camp not only reminded me that I need to make learning real and fulfilling (my words, not hers) but gave me some hope to think that maybe I can do that in my home! Thanks for these interviews. I had the opportunity to listen to your wrap up today and it was so enlightening and again, inspired me. I have been doing nearly everything you covered in your segment! Thank you so much for making yourself available and for sharing the wonderful information and experience you have. You have a calming way about you! I hope you will continue your mission and that is, truly helping others.
I enjoyed the superheroes so very much. Each person helped me in some way. Ashley did a great job conducting the interviews. She asked the correct questions and things just started flowing! I feel more confident, though there remains some nervousness just beginning this homeschool journey coming up on Tuesday. I left the interviews feeling that I had more knowledge necessary to educate my child.
God Bless You, I hope to hear from you again,
Deb
I have really enjoyed the interviews! I have been looking for someone who has been before me and could give sound, Biblical advice and encouragement. I have found it! Thank you so much for putting together these interviews for us. They have truly been a blessing and I have passed them on to other moms I know.
Florine B.
I have been home schooling for 13yrs and after reading all of these great ideas for the first day of school, I am inspired to make the first day more special. Thankfully, I still have little ones to do this for. Thank you for all your great ideas and encouragement, even for a veteran home schooler!

Thank you for putting on this mini-conference. I have really loved hearing Lee Binz, Jim Weiss & Andrew Pudewa. Lee’s talk has given me a lot to ruminate on.
Thank you,
Jennifer
Thank you for being concerned and taking time to email me to clear things up. I enjoyed the homeschool superheroes and I appreciate what you’ve done to provide this for us homeschool moms!!
Have a great night!
Darlene
The Clarkson family is a favorite of mine! Thanks so much for the possibility of winning their resources, and the Old Schoolhouse Magazine!
This is a great thing, these interviews. Thanks for posting them for us, at a great price, too.Such an encouragement.
Stephanie
Thank you for your interview today Kerry! It was a great reminder for what to do. I especially needed the to hear how important it is for my husband to be involved in the discipline. This is hard for our family since he works such long hours. Thanks again!
Katherine R
I have a special needs child so I am looking forward to the recordings (I’m still listening to the 2010 Super Heros).
Suzette
This is just what I needed. It’s been difficult to connect with a group and have basically been on my own. I REALLY needed the encouragement that has been given. I feel so inspired and see the future with joy. I know this will transfer to my son.
THANK YOU!
Maria
I have not been able to listen to all of the Homeschool Super Heros but the ones I have are wonderful and encouraging. I think the one thing I’ve known but keep being reminded of is to relax, love on my children more and trust God!
Tricia
So wonderful to hear Sally Clarkson speak tonight! She is definitely one of my homeschool heros – and a mentor through her books and website.
Stephanie
I am enjoying listening to Sally Clarkson and her vision of homeschooling and ministry – she has so much wisdom to share. Thanks!
Megan
I have really appreciated many of the interviews, and I was looking forward to her interview and Gena Suarez’s. Gena’s was so good. I am more confident in my decision to perservere in homeschooling for the good of our entire family!
Thanks again for making this available to everyone free of charge. What a blessing!
Mel
I’ve enjoyed this year’s Homeschool Super Heroes as much as last year’s. Thanks for helping us get this year started on the right foot.
Marian
I enjoyed both talks tremendously yesterday. Terri spoke words to my heart as I had been mulling over our new school year and wanting to incorporate learning more through what my children are interested in. It was great to hear how well it worked for her own family.
Corey
So timely! I had to try out some of your advice as I was listening. It is a neverending process. Thanks for the help!
Susan
I love this week! What an encouraging start for the new year!
Mel
Thank you again for putting this together–it’s been encouraging, challenging, and motivating as we embark on a new school year.
Cathy
It’s just always fantastic to get some perspective on parenting and homeschooling, and so timely, at the beginning of the year :)
Kimberly
This is very encouraging in accomplishing my day to day duties of many roles. Thank you for this!!!!
Michelle S
Another great day of wisdom! I gained lots of hope as we face high school!
Susan
I have enjoyed being able to listen to these great speakers from the comfort of my own home. I also appreciate the fact that there is a window of time when I can listen, and if I need to pause or rewind I can do that, too. I enjoyed hearing the wisdom about raising real men, and also the encouragement to use my children’s middle school years well.
Cathy
I really enjoyed this interview. I had never heard them before. They’ve been so involved in homeschool leadership, I’m surprised I haven’t. The Hero Tales from American History sound like they will be great. I haven’t heard of them, either.
We are studying the Founding Fathers and first presidents and Revolutionary and Civil War kind of all at the same time since we moved to the East coast. We live in PA now, so we’ve visited Gettysburg. But my husband is working in S. Carolina, so we went to see Fort Sumter, too.
I am always looking for interesting ways to study history. I have 4 boys and 6 girls. I’m trying to make history buffs of all of them!
Penney
Great advice “Let boys be bold…” – “grow into men”. An eye opener on a boys relationship with Mom. I just got a better understanding of my son. Can’t wait to learn more.
Thank You!
Maria
I really enjoyed Hal and Melanie’s talk tonight. I had missed it completely the first time, so I was actually thankful for your technical difficulties! :)
The thought that they’re not “listening to a girl,” but actually listening to God (because of the headship delegation) was really helpful to me. With my two teenage boys, I have hesitated to be authoritative with them, and when they are home and my husband is not, this has been a real handicap!
Ronda
So wonderful listening to words of wisdom from Gena Suarez! So encouraging!
Connie
I’ve just been blessed by the Raising Real Men audio. I am so encouraged to let the Lord lead my homeschool experience and focus on Him in our home and in raising our children. Thanks again!
Mel
I am truly enjoying listening and being encouraged to follow the Lord and to not have school at home but just a wonderful learning environment that is combined into our life.
Corey
Thank you so much! These interviews have been fantastic. I love Marilyn Rockett’s advice “Remind yourself of the Big Picture” and “Keep your eyes on your path not someone elses”. This is so true.
Maria
Gena was great, and I can’t wait to hear some wisdom on raising my boys!
Susan
This is such a great week. I really appreciated Jo Jo’s encouragement yesterday to begin planning for college early, and her thoughts about having your children involved long-term in activities related to their areas of interest.
Cathy
I listened to the communication by JoJo and learned the importance of communication. I didn’t realize there where 7,000 ref in the bible to communication! We all need to improve on our communication skills as we use this with our children, at work, with spouses ect and not just in professional settings.
Jenny
These are so wonderful. Thank you for this opportunity to hear the wonderful veteran homeschoolers that you have brought together to share their wisdom.
Mary Beth S
It has been great to sit back and relax as I take in so many wonderful tips from homeschoolers who have gained so much over the years. There is always something new to learn.
Kelly
I need all the support and encouragement I can get. Thank you!
Judy
I appreciate Phyllis’ encouragement about asperger children. When we have children with disabilities, it can be a real struggle. It’s okay to can traditional curriculum and use what works for each child.
Janie
What a wonderful interview with Terri! I love how she replaced “chores” with “joys.” Absolutely brilliant!
Connie
My AHA moment was when you talked about teaching the kids to plan out their own week. I’ve been doing almost all the planning for my kids. But I know they need to learn time management for themselves. Plus if they have a hand in it, they will own what they’re doing better. Brilliant – thank you!
Cynthia
Thank you for the access to “INSPIRATION” to all of us Home Schoolers! I like the idea of taking one day, week, or whatever the choice would be to have a time to work on “topics” of interest. I’ve tucked away other info, as well! Thanks you!
